- What does the Membership Team do?
The Membership Team is responsible for helping to recruit and retain members. This could mean everything from finding new and exciting benefits to offer our members, making follow-up phone calls to people who have voiced an interest in getting involved (like YOU!), or helping coordinate fun member events. This is a great Team to be a part of if you love to talk, meet new people, or if you’re trying to improve your communication skills.
- What does the Showcase Team do?
The Showcase Team is responsible for coordinating the annual Promotional Products Showcase that takes place each fall. The Team meets primarily via telephone conference calls and brainstorms innovative ways to make MAPPA’s Showcase a huge success. The team also helps recruit exhibitors for the show as well as encourage distributor attendance. This is a great Team if you love special events and all the many details that go into putting them together. If you’re interested in learning more about coordinating trade shows, this is the place to be!
- What does the Education Team do?
Each spring MAPPA holds its annual Spring Expo and Education Day in Williamsburg, Virginia. Those on the Education Team are responsible for finding exhilarating speakers to recommend to the Board of Directors. The Team not only helps coordinate the details of the Education Day, but also keeps the MAPPA Board abreast of educational opportunities that may be available throughout the year. The Education Team is the team for you if you have a yearning for knowledge, or if you’re interested in helping mentor those wanting to learn more!
- What does the Host Team do?
The Host Team is the friendly face at every event. As a member of the Host Team, you’ll attend MAPPA events as the “life of the party.” You will meet & greet new (and old) faces and be a wealth of information for the aimless wanderer. Are you really outgoing or wanna climb out of your shell a little bit? Then the Host Team is just for you!
- What does the Communications Team do?
The Communications Team serves as information central. This team will help make sure information is given to the Executive Director for publication in the monthly eNewsletter as well as make sure the information is accurate (by proofreading). Communication Team members are also the Social Butterflies of the group helping to coordinate new and fun ways for MAPPA members to socialize and network. Are you a party animal? This is the place to be. An aspiring writer? Yep, you too. A wanna be? Come on… we need you too!
What if I don’t know WHAT I want to do?
That’s OK. We’ll let you test drive a team or two. Or, if you have a great idea or a new team that you think MAPPA should be putting to work, well, let us know! Still more questions? Give us a call! (757) 491-3114.
